On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of its establishment, it has the national registration of Silk
Archaeologists led by Roman Gershman conducted three seasons of excavations in 1933, 1934, and 1937 on both the Sialk Hills and two nearby cemeteries. They were published in Paris and later translated into Persian by Iran Cultural Heritage Publications
In 2001, Dr. Sadegh Malek Shahmirzadi was sent to the region by the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization to explore. The exploration team achieved new results during 5 exploration seasons that lasted until 2006.
The historical hill of Sialk was registered in the list of historical and national monuments of Iran on September 15, 1961 with the number 38. Sialk has 2 hills, north and south. The oldest artifacts from the northern hill date back to about 7,500 years ago, and the last artifacts found on the southern hill date back to 5,000 years ago.

The ancient site of Sialk is one of the most valuable ancient monuments in Iran and the world, which from about 8000 years ago (from the Neolithic to the Median era), has evidence of human life developments. This area includes the northern hill (small sialk) with an area of about 5 hectares, the southern hill (large sialk) with an area of about 8 hectares, cemetery A and cemetery B. These hills, from ancient to modern, display the works of different eras of human civilization, including the Neolithic, Mesolithic, urban, Iron and Medieval eras.
